Useful plans. Clear evidence.
PINTR’s articles help you choose where to go using its venue catalogue, listed drinks and food, recorded features and geographic information. The byline is PINTR. These are data-assisted guides, not anonymous customer reviews or claims of first-hand visits to every pub.
Prices and dates
Prices are reported AUD menu listings. Regular prices, member prices and timed offers remain separate. A pint is never inferred from a pot or schooner. Area averages first average each pub’s regular pint listings, then average those pub values, with at least three contributing pubs.
“Updated” means the guide’s content or supporting snapshot changed. It does not mean every venue confirmed its menu that day. Venue links open PINTR and Google Maps so you can plan the visit.
Shortlists, screens and music
Local guides use a small, selected set of locations with enough pub data. A sports-screens feature does not confirm a particular broadcast, and a live-music feature does not confirm a gig tonight. Official fixtures and venue programmes are the sources for those final checks. Missing features are treated as missing data, not evidence that the pub lacks them.
Pub crawls
Routes use named venue addresses and recorded coordinates. Estimated walking minutes include a 1.3× straight-line distance allowance at a 4.5 km/h walking pace; they are not surveyed street routes. Suggested arrival times assume 45 minutes per stop and do not verify trading hours or availability. The walking map is the next check.
A quoted crawl budget assumes one listed regular pint per stop, per person. Food, transport and additional drinks are separate. There is no need to drink at every stop.
Images and sources
Every article’s main image depicts a venue featured in that guide, using PINTR’s existing prepared venue photos. Captions identify the venue. Venue cards link to PINTR and the venue on Google Maps. Attribution does not imply that a venue endorses the guide.
Corrections and refreshes
The article snapshot is rebuilt alongside the catalogue. A changed venue, price, schedule, feature or route changes its content fingerprint and queues a review. Guides falling below the coverage threshold are withheld from publication and the sitemap. Time-sensitive topics need an official source and another check before publication.
For a wrong price or missing venue, use the contribution tools in PINTR. Venue owners can use For venues to claim and manage their listing. Those submissions go through the existing review process.
